My sister told me she had heard of an obstacle race in our area, and I finally remembered to check it out

Conquer The Gauntlet

4 miles, 25+ obstacles.

It's in late September.  I'm not sure I'll be ready this year... but I soooooo want to do it.  I don't even know how to go about training for something like that.  I'd most likely still be 200+ lbs by then, but I am sure I could run that far by then.

I'm all about doing things that scare the crap out of me lately.

Very cool!!  You should totally do it!  The best way to make progress is to do things that scare you, and take you out of your comfort zone!

My sister and I have decided we will work on it (we're also both going to be training to run a half marathon just a few weeks after the Gauntlet race), but if we're not ready this year, we're doing it next year - NO EXCUSES.
