p90x and running.

I really want to do a 90 challenge combining the 2.

Would 3 days of running and 3 days of p90x be too much?

Have you ever done the 2 at the same time?

I am thinking a run AND p90x in one day would be overkill??

thoughts?

I do running and crossfit which is basically the same thing but probably a little more intense so I would say its absolutely not too much.

Oh and I run and do crossfit on the same days sometimes. At least once or twice a week I'll run the 1.25 miles to my crossfit box, wod and then run home. But it always just depends on the wod. Sometimes I end up walking home instead of running if I'm too tired or sore.

I say alternate between the two every day.

not at all.  i do hybrid programs all the time.  i did ap90x/insanity asylum hybrid program for 2 months (after i finished p90x) and it was incredible!  i'm now doing a body beast/HIIT cardio program and i choose what HIIT cardio i want to do (TapOut, asylum, asylum2 or insanity)

I run a few days a week and follow Insanity.

I try to do runs on strength days for P90X.  I do runs in the morning before school time for my kids and then do P90X in the early afternoon with my husband.  Just listen to your body and if it feels like too much to do in one day then try doing it another way until you find something that works for you.

I would say it depends on where you're starting from. What is your current routine? If you're already working out a lot, to for it. If you're starting from scratch, I'd say you need to be patient and build up to it, but ultimately, no, it's not too much.

I have been doing running and shred. Just loosely and lazily doing both.

So I started c25k over.....again. I do so much with an actual plan in place?!?!

This past week this is what I did.

Monday: c25k. Week 1. Days 1-3
Tuesday: c25k. Week 2. Days 1-3
Wednesday: off
Thursday: c25k. Week 3. Days 1-3

Friday: c25k. Week 4. Days 1-3

My plan is to run 2 miles today.
