It's been a year since I joined the gym!!!!  And I've lost about 20 lbs!  I've lost the 20 lbs at the rate of about 1-3 lbs per month, eating about 1800-2200 calories, and going to the gym 4 days per week. I lift barbells and dumbbells and do cardio machines.

I had lost about 80 lbs before joining the gym (I did DVD workouts 5-6 days per week) and I was feeling so amazing in my swimsuit last year (the purple one)!  despite my grumpy face lol. and I know I looked good last year but here is how my body has changed from the 20 lbs.

I haven't bought yet but I'm probably going to get the bigger sized shorts (on the left) and the blue/purple top...

And many of you know one of the reasons I joined the gym was because of my hip problems. And you know that joining the gym didn't really help and that I've been struggling with hip pain for over a year. And that the orthopedic specialist thinks I have bursitis. Well since I started taking my prescription for the bursitis, I haven't had any REALLY BAD hip pain problems (they were bothering me a bit over the weekend into monday but not enough to stop me from squatting monday lol) so hopefully it's helping. The thing is that I can't keep taking these drugs forever. the hope is that the bursitis (if that's really what it is) will go away and then I can stop taking the drugs and it won't come back !  Right now I'm supposed to do 2 6 week cycles of the drugs, with a week break in between. unless I go 2 weeks without symptoms, then I stop taking them until my hips bother me again, and do the same thing over again. I hate taking drugs and these have scary side effects after long term use (NSAIDS for those who are curious)

You look amazing!  What an improvement!  It's amazing what lifting will do!

I hope you're able to get off the NSAIDs- I am like you, I try to stay AWAY from that stuff as much as possible.  Hopefully you'll have a solution soon.  Is the doctor still exploring solutions with you?

Nope. The original plan is six weeks on, 1 week off, 6 weeks on. So after the 13 weeks, if I'm still having trouble ill have to go back and idk what then! Hopefully I don't get that far. Thankfully I'm on a 7.5 dose not 15. And all the studies I looked over didn't have worse side effects after 3 months use compared to placebo but once you get up to 6 mos, the side effect risks really sky rocket. I don't want my stomach to fall out lol.
