I don't post often, so I'll repost my brief weight story. In high school I was a pretty average weight for my height and body structure in high school, 5'8 and a size 12 and 175 pounds. I looked great, I was healthy. That was back in 2005. When I gave birth in January 2012 I weighed 296. Yikes! My weight had been fluctuating between 230-260 for several years before her, and between sizes 16-20.
I stepped on the scale this morning and saw 228. That's 68 pounds of weight.. gone! Needless to say I've been itching to try on some new clothes.
Went to Plato's Closet with dh on a whim, just to poke around and window shop for some cheap summer clothes now that I'm feeling more confident. The pants I put on today? Size 13. SAY WHAAAAT!? I haven't been able to squeeze my fatt buttcheeks into that size since right after high school. (and coincidentally, right after I got a car and didn't have to walk everywhere lol)
I mean, they didn't look that great on me and I did have a muffin top in them from my squishy mommy tummy but holy hell. They actually pulled up. And buttoned. And I could still breathe! I'm obviously not going to wear them until they actually fit right but I bought them anyway as motivation. I'm determined to wear them by the end of the summer. My ultimate goal is to lose 50 more pounds. But yay for being able to squeeze into that size again!!
Just wanted to pat myself on the back. :)
