A coworker just stopped by... she said, "I let my husband sign me up for a half-marathon.  How do you train for that?"

Someone just came to ME for fitness advice.  Someone just asked ME how to train for a half-marathon.

My day has been made.  =)

I told her that when I trained to walk the half I did in March that I used the training plan they provided, which was for runners.  Walking 2-4 miles 2 or 3 times during the week, with one long walk on the weekend that increased every few weeks. 

I'm training to run one now.  I told her this time I started with C25k (my first 5k is Sunday!) and then I'm using the same training plan, just a little modified.  I can run 3 miles now, so I'll start my long runs at 4 miles and I'll increase my long run by a mile every other week.  My next half is in October, so it gives me time to build up to 13 miles =)
