I need a list!

I need help compiling a healthy shopping list for a family of 4. Dh and I are going to start next month trying to workout at home together and eat better. Ds 9 is a picky eater and loves snacks but I want him to start eating better with us. Dd is only 1 so what she likes changes daily lol. I'm having a hard time because things I like others don't =(

*When I start getting ideas from people I will add them that way I can keep track =D*

chicken breasts or thighs
a whole chicken
ground chicken or turkey

eggs

dry pinto beans or organic canned beans (the ones with less than 150 mg of sodium per serving)

milk
cheese
sour cream
yogurt

peppers
onions
carrots
green beans
potatoes
celery

apples
grapes
bananas
pineapple

bread
tortillas
english muffins
triscuits

I also get plenty of junk food but I don't think you want to see that lol ;)

I do my shopping lists from planning out my menus.  Otherwise, I end up throwing away stuff!

I buy lots of chicken and fish. I still buy some ground beef. I choose organic/grass fed/wild caught, etc. meats and fish.

Fruits....I usually buy bananas, berries, or whatever is in season.

Veggies....edamame, carrots, organic salad mixes, ginger, there's lots more....it varies greatly since I try and menu plan. Sometimes I buy frozen mixes for quick meals:)

Snacks
Hummus
String cheese
Greek yogurt
Nitrite/nitrate free deli meats
Nuts/trail mixes
Ingridients for smoothies

Drinks
Organic milk
OJ
Coconut milk
Almond milk

Dry grocery
Peanut butter/almond butter
Some pasta
Canned tomatoes
Dry beans
Canned beans
Crackers
Oatmeal
Whole wheat bread....I've tried that Ezekiel bread the last few times....it's expensive and I'm not sure if I'm gonna keep buying it:/

That's the jist of it. I personally try to buy organic GMO free whenever possible:)
We are snackey, and it's always a challenge for me to come up with stuff like that.

Others have given you food ideas but here is what I do to help my children eat healthier and eat more of what I do. Get good at adding veggies to sauces, muffins, and mixed in with what you are eating instead of always offering healthy choices by themselves. Serve raw veggies with various dips, fruit and dip....carrots, pineapple etc in muffins, even cookies. Cheese sauce is also good for some foods (watch sodium and fat).
