Claire! Save me! BMR Help.

I was told my BMR is 2030. MFP says my BMR is 2030.

A friend that is a personal trainer just told me my BMR is 1325.

Then to show a 500 calorie deficit I'd need to eat 825 calories a day? That can't be right! I've been eating 1600 and thought that was a good place for me.

I average 90 minutes of exercise a day.

255 pounds

6'2"

28 years old

Someone help? lol

I posted this before you helped me in the other thread. :) But thank you. I appreciate it.

I need to figure out this calorie intake crap. So frustrating. :(

Your BMR is 1980.

1980*1.725=3416 I used the higher formula since u do 3 hours many days.

3416-500=2916

To lose 1-2 lbs a week your range is 1980-2916 but I would honesty stay on the higher end of that since u work out so much.

There was one formula even higher I could have used but that's for like athletes who work out constantly so I think that would be too much.

If I cut back to 90 minutes a day, with 1 rest day, would the 1980 be more like it?

Yes, but make sure you hit 1980 every day.

Is there a certain # of carbs and protein I should aim for, do you know?

Quoting MamaJessx3:

Yes, but make sure you hit 1980 every day.

I don't really pay attention to that. I just try and make sure I have plenty of carbs (for fuel) and protein (for recovery) and then lots of veggies and some fruit and dairy. That's just me personally. Some people pay more attention to numbers.
