Side stiitches-Ouch.

Ugh, I like to shake what my mama gave me (she gave me more than I need to be honest) and so I like to Zumba , and I would Zumba more (because I need to) but about halfway into class I get a horrible side stitch.  I've been Zumba-ing for nearly a year (sporadically) and this has started in the last couple weeks.  I have tried eating before I go and eating a only a little, and not eating.  I have tried dancing through the pain, and deep breathing, and finally had to take a brake today (during one of my favorite dances, grrrr).  Any suggestions on how to rid my side of the stitch?

are you drinking water before and during?

drinking it too fast?

A side stitch happens because you eat/drink too much before exercising. To get rid of it you should quit eating/drinking a lot before workouts. Also, if it happens pinch the webbing between your thumb and pointer finger on the opposite hand that the side stitch is on.

Put your hands behind your head and stretch out your torso. Thats always helped me.
