subsitutions in a cake mix queston
Okay, I was looking on the back of a box of devils food cake mix. The calories before it is prepared said 160 and after it was prepared said 470. Now, is this because of using eggs and oil as ingredients? What If I used olive oil, which is good for you. Or what could I replace the eggs and oil with to make it have less calories? I know unsweetened applesauce can be used for the oil, but what about the eggs? Or should I ditch this idea to begin with?
