False. A pound is a pound, but muscle a pound of muscle is smaller than a pound of fat.

Muscle takes up less space than fat does.  That is why a lot of women will notice a difference in their clothes and sometimes not on the scale.  They are building lean muscle.

It can be either answer. A pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat, it's just smaller.but if you take two boxes the same size, fill one with muscle and one with fat, the one with muscle will weigh more.
