hey everyone! haven't been on cafemom in a little over a year so I'm feeling like a newbie again! I'm still on my weight loss journey but have had a lot of bumps in the road. I'm looking to make some new friends and have workout buddies or motivational friends to help me lose these last 40 pounds!

Hi! I'm Laura, I'm fairly new to the site and exploring all sorts of groups. I have a BS in Kinesiology with an emphasis in fitness, nutrition, and health, as well as a MS in Kinesiology with an emphasis in sport and exercise psychology. I'm still on my journey to lose the baby weight (got 9 stubborn lbs to go and I'm 6 months postpartum), my weight is getting there, but my measurements are struggling. I've lost a lot of lean muscle mass, so I've gotten fluffy again, but I'm doing a 35 day Ab challenge and just started the 30 day squat challenge to aid in rebuilding muscle and try to go for a 2 mile walk every evening.

I'm Ada... Im an on and off again CM junkie. I joined this group way before getting pregnant(I was trying to lose weight to conceive) but was more of a lurker. I got down to 200 to get pregnant then up to 240ish while pregnant and now I am down to 174.2... I have 4.2 more pounds to go by Oct 16 (when my son turns 1)... That is my major weight loss goal. As I get closer I realize I can achieve greater things and just want to keep going with this fitness journey. I'm working on the last bit of weight... On my abs/mommy tummy... Getting bigger quads and lats while getting stronger hammies. I'm not the typical mom or body type... I believe fit is 100% better than skinny in everyway.

That is super awesome Ada! I know you can do it!! You seem to have an awesome attitude and certainly have the skills/know how to get it done.

My goal is terribly far off and may be impossible with my current schedule, but if I can just bust about 15 more lbs I'll be happy with myself for a bit. I would love to do it by my sons first birthday in March.

You can do it! One day at a time and one foot in front of the other, you WILL get there!

Thank you... The journey and goals never end when you are chasing a dream.

What is your schedule like? And 15lbs is quite attainable by March. You know the process with your background... I'm sure you will crush that goal.

Well I'm a SAHM and I can't get 10 minutes to take a shower every day so I don't know how I'm supposed to squeeze in time to go to the gym. I'm doing an Ab challenge right now and it's strengthening my core and helping to redefine my waist, but crunches will only get you so far. I'm also doing a squat challenge to build up my butt and restrengthen my quads cause I'm having some knee pain. In this heat I can't take the baby for a walk until dinner time, but between cooking, eating, feeding him, getting him ready for bed and doing all the dishes (I'm an exclusively pumping mama, so I e got a ton of bottles and pump stuff to wash) its 10:00 and I've still got to pump. It's pretty exhausting and my body just isn't recovering as fast as it should. I lost 28lbs in the 6 months before we found out I was pregnant but I was going to the gym 2 hours a day 5 days a week, so that won't be happening with a sweet little guy to take care of.

Bottom line: I've got to get more creative with my at home work outs and bust my butt walking once this heat wave is over!
