he could not use the machines at the gym because his weight, and his bad knee, so his doc suggested water walking. My friend has lost 50 lb so far since march. He water walks at least 3 days a week for 1 -2 hours and has done wonders.
the average burn water walking when you move your arms also is 250 cal for 30 mins.
My dh has knee problems and so did I while doing insanity... We both realized quickly how important it is to have a supportive shoe. Also my dh bought knee supports to use while on his runs.
