No problem!
BMR: 1848

Maintenance while working out 3-5 days per week: 1848*1.55= 2864

To lose 1 lb per week: 2864-500=2364

Your ideal calorie range is 1848-2364 calories per day to lose 1 lb per week.

Can you please explain a little more what bmr is. My husband doesn't believe in this "crap". We've been arguing since before I posted this!

BMR or Basal Metabolic Rate is the number of calories your body needs to function and be inactive-think digestion, blood flow and organ functions. Once you add any form of activity, you have to consume more in order to offset that activity.

So, at your age, height, weight, your body needs 1848 calories in order to lie in bed all day and breathe, while doing nothing else. So, when you exercise, you need to eat a bit more in order to offset that activity.
