How to lose weight without all the "extras"?

 Can you lose weight on your own with no help? I see many post where someone is doing this DVD or that one and some people (*ME*) can't afford that so I'm wondering if it's possible to lose weight on your own with just eating right and exercise?

Also, I know a lot of people swear by protein powder, protein shakes, whey powder, etc.? Is all of that neccessary? I'm looking online for simple meal planners that will allow me to eat cleaner and healthier without breaking the bank. Any advice on meal planner websites??

Only way to do it right. Yep, I do it that way. I don't use any websites.

The only thing I use is my fitness pal. It helps me keep better track of how much I am eating daily. I don't follow any diets or use DVDs or even use a gym! I walk in my neighborhood and keep active around the house. Turn on some music and dance like a fool lol

I've been having success with counting calories (I actually enjoy doing that, lol) and going to the gym 4-5x a week.

I stay at 1100-1200 calories/day using myfitnesspal.com to track and I go to Planet Fitness for $10/month.  It's awesome and worth it.  

This is my 3rd week and I've lost 13 lbs.  No special foods, no trainer, no expensive program.  Keeping it simple is always best.  Good luck!

i just increased my protein intake and lost 45 lbs in 6 months. that's with zero exercise.

I only eat clean (paleo) and lift weights. I did pay $400 total for my weight set off craigslist, but other than that, I don't do any extras.

I make espresso as my preworkout and when I DO have protein powder, it's RAW organic, vegan stuff, since I'm breastfeeding. I'm 30 lbs down since May and 13 lbs down in the last 6 weeks, since I got off my ass.
