I am doing new rules of lifting for women right now. I'm just finishing the first stage of the program. I'm not seeing any results and Im getting very discourage!
Does anyone have any effective weight lifting routines to share?
I can only get to the gym 3 days a week to lift. The other days I do cardio at home
I'm only 5 lbs from my goal weight, but need to lose body fat!!!

Body fat loss comes mostly from your cardio and maintaining your heart rate constant in fat burning levels... Bodybuilding.com has some great routines

I lift heavy some days and light some days. I get toned quickly. Right now losing the fat is the hard part.

What do you do on your heavy days?
I love squats
over head press
deadlift
I like the big coompound lifts and I'm trying to find a routine with them

I do legs on weds. Other 4 days are arms and back. I get my daily workouts from bodybuilding.com and muscleandfitnesshers.com. they work too!

Unfortunately, this is not true...building lean muscle mass from strength training has a long-term effect on body fat loss.

For the OP, try the book The Body sculpting Bible for Women.

Yes yes studies show that it helps increase the amount of calories burned while at rest... With that being said... You still need to mix in the aerobic exercises... HITT workouts are a good choice with the addition to a good lifting routine.

Also for body fat... You should be consuming more healthy fats...Drink more water.... Staggering calorie intake and carb cycling.

So much goes into a good routine in general.
