I'm open for all ideas on how to get rid of just a little chub on my lower belly. Any exercise ideas to target that area?

It's 80% diet.  You can't spot-lose fat.  From there, all over strength training, combined with a variety of cardio exercises, will be your best defense.

The cleaner your food intake, the better.

I'm doing the 30 day plank challenge, and I've already noticed a difference in my core

Unless you limit your carb intake you can do all the core strengthening exercises in the world but they'll stay hidden under those layers of fat.
