Welcome to Day 17 of the New Year New You Challenge!

Not all food is created equal.

In day 6, we gave you a list of food to keep on hand to encourage a healthier and cleaner diet. While all those foods are good for you, there are some that stand out more than others.

These 'superfoods' are packed with nutrients that are beneficial to weight loss as well as overall good health. If you cannot get everything on the original list from day 6, make sure your pantry does includes the following superfoods.

  • Almonds
  • Avocados
  • Bananas
  • Blueberries (3 - 4 servings per week)
  • Broccoli
  • Brown Rice
  • Garbanzo Beans (Chickpeas)
  • Grapefruit
  • Green Tea
  • Kidney Beans (3 - 4 servings per week)
  • Lentils
  • Oats
  • Oranges ( 2 - 4 servings per week)
  • Pears
  • Pine Nuts
  • Quinoa
  • Salmon (2 - 3 servings per week)
  • White Beans (3 - 4 servings per week)

 I eat many of the foods on the list. I have tried everything on the list. I drink green tea daily. I have the rest multiple times a week.

 I have not a food on this list in my kitchen but i will have them now especially almonds i love them

I eat some, but I despise beans, so I won't be adding them ever!

I have never tried white beans, salmon, quinoa, pine nuts, lentils, grapefruit, or avocado. I will never try salmon because I hate fish.

I eat all but quinoa, lentils and brown rice .

I like everything on that list except quinoa, just do not like it weird texture & it's not so great on flavor imo. If I were starving I could eat it I suppose.  it was a good reminder that I have grapefruit, avocado & broccoli on hand, don't let those go to waste.

We eat lentils about once a week.
