Love Your Body Challenge Day 18: Crunches, Sit Ups and Tricep Dips

Welcome to Day 18 of the Love Your Body Challenge.

Make sure you post everyday after you have completed the daily exercises.

Here are today's exercises:

40 Crunches


10 Sit Ups


10 Tricep Dips



Here is today's healthy recipe:

Spring Vegetable Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 13 oz penne pasta (or whole wheat)
  • 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 zucchini, sliced diagonally
  • 2 bunches asparagus, sliced diagonally
  • 3 small yellow bell pepper, sliced lengthwise
  • 1 cup cooked, shelled fava beans (or lima beans)
  • ½ cup green olives, pitted and sliced
  • ½ cup Italian parsley leaves

Directions:

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and keep hot.
  2. While pasta is cooking, heat oil in a wok or frying pan. Add garlic and zucchini. Stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add asparagus, bell pepper and beans. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  3. Combine vegetables with hot pasta. Serve in four bowls, each topped with olives and parsley.

 I'll do a variation of the situps.

Dh doesn't like whole wheat pasta, but keeps trying. We usually just eat a smaller portion of regular pasta and more veggies. Also eat it with seafood more than beef.

Ran around with my son for about 25-30 minutes! ! Wasn't even going to exercise today!! Lol...had fun:) will throw this in later!

Yummy salad - shrimp is so satisfying!

Still sick, maybe tomorrow.

I will have to do these tomorrow. I did a crazy ab workout last night and I"m so sore today!  I'll be focusing on cardio and arms today.

This pasta dish sounds delish!

On my way to exercise...

Pasta recipe looks delicious!
We do use whole wheat pasta: kids do not know it....
It is so filled with their yummy meatballs they do not care about anything else, lol

 Done and I love pasta. I normally eat a salad before my pasta so I can eat it in smaller does and by salad, I mean a spinach or kale salad loaded with veggies. I make a homemade sauce that is super healthy and has zucchini in it.

We eat spaghetti squash too.

My abs are killing me thank you :)
I eat wheat pasta, although I've been eating more veggie based pastas and they add a lot more flavor and are better than plain pasta

Yum! I love pasta! We love to use spaghetti squash in its place too. :)
