Help! I'm a nighttime snacker!

So I've been eating really healthy and working out 5-6 days per week but the one bad bad habit I can't break is snacking before bed. Help!

Me too.  But since I track my calories, I rarely go over my goal.  I know many people talk about not eating at night, but I've always done it.  So I still snack at night, I just use portion control and not go over my daily calories.

I make sure to have veggies cut up and ready or chug water.

Or I brush my teeth.

Or have gum. The minty flavor kind of puts me off.

I've tried brushing my teeth early but I'm too hard headed for that to work lol but I'll have to try gum thanks!

As long as you plan for that snack by saving up calories, I say go for it! I plan how many calories (approximately) each meal will be, so I never have to miss a snack.

honest answer?

I eat one toaster strudel (most nights)  - they are great. Only 170-180 calories and I feel like I'm having a great dessert.  In summer, I will get low fat- or sugar free ice cream and have that (always measured out) 

*I try to eat decent most of the day

I love to have a snack before bed too, but after eating healthy for 5 weeks, I'm starting to kick that bad habit to the curb. It's hard some days to not snack, but if I do, I have some fruit.

I always have a before bed snack. As long as your not eating a ton I wouldn't worry about it.
