How clean is your diet? Take this quiz and find out!

Give yourself a point if you…

__Have a good source of protein (unprocessed whole grains, like oats/groats, nuts etc..) with breakfast.

__Eat at least one piece/serving of fruit per day.

__Have at least 1 cup of leafy greens (spinach, kale, collards, swiss chard, etc..) per day.

__Consume 5 or more servings (1/2 cup cooked, 1 cup raw) of fruits and vegetables per day.

__Consume 50% or more of your fruit and vegetables raw.

__ Are familiar with the “Dirty Dozen” list of foods grown with the most pesticides.

__Are conscious of how and where your fruits and vegetables are harvested.

__Consume 2 or more fresh herbs/spices per week (cilantro, garlic, ginger etc).

__Have between 3-5 servings of healthy, unrefined fat per day (nuts/nut butters, avocados, seeds like sesame or pumpkin).

__Often use healthy cooking methods like steaming, steam sautéing, and baking or broiling in place of frying or sautéing with refined oils or saturated fats.

__Eat 3 or more servings of un-processed whole grains per day ( 1/3 cup cooked wheat-berries, brown rice, oats, barley, quinoa etc).

__Don’t go longer than 3 hours between meals or snacks.

__Are conscious of how and where your meat/dairy/eggs is raised or processed (humane, grass-fed, organic, free range etc) or you don’t eat meat.

__Consume 50% or more of your protein from plant-based sources (free of animal products, such as legumes, lentils, soy foods- tofu, tempeh, edamame, nuts and seeds).

__Urinate clear/nearly clear throughout the day.

__Limit alcohol intake to 1 or fewer drinks per day.

__Drink a sugar-sweetened beverage 2 or less times per week (flavored lattes/coffees, fruit juice cocktail etc).

__Consume ready-prepared (frozen dinners, canned soups, packaged baked goods etc) 2 or less times per week.

__Are conscious of portion sizes (plate size, second helpings etc).

__Often check nutrition/ingredient labels before purchasing a product.

__Feel confident in interpreting a nutrition/ingredient label to make a purchasing or consumption decision.

__Prepare meals at home (from scratch) more than 75% of the time (2 meals; 1-2 snacks/day).

__Feel confident in preparing a balanced, healthy meal.

__Consume a wide variety of foods/open to trying new foods and recipes.

__Feel confident experimenting cooking new foods or recipes.

__Dine out 3 or fewer meals per week.

__Are conscious of the nutritional quality of your food when dining out.

__Know where to find locally sourced produce (famers markets, small grocery stores etc).

__Never eat in front of the television, computer, or while driving your car.

__Sleep 7-8 hours most nights of the week.

__Go to bed at or before 10 pm 4 or more nights per week.

__Exercise for 60 or more minutes 4 or more days per week.

29 out of 32 for me!

I don't do these ( I don't eat grains, I eat when I'm hungry...usually 6 hours between breakfast and lunch, and I won't touch soy or legumes):
