So I gave up for a while. I gained a bit of weight and now am starting over.

I started at 219 or 220 and got down to 215 pretty fast after trying again to lose. I started logging my food and watching my carbs at that point. Oh, I'm 5'3.

Here are my measurements so far...

June 4
39 waist
47 hip
Weight 215

July 15
38 waist
46.5 hips
Weight 213

July 20
Waist 37.5
Hips 46
Weight 210

July 25
Hips 45.5
Waist 36.5
Weight 208

July 31
Hips 45
Waist 36
Weight 208

August 4
Waist 36
Hips 45
Weight 210. ( boooo!)

August 8
Waist 36
Hips 44.5
Weight 209

I'm going to have to post pics soon to have a before and after.

I'm hoping to get down to 140 or so. Think I can do it in 6-8 months?

In 6-8 months? No, I'm sorry. A year? Absolutely.

I lost 50 lbs in 6 months. I think you can do it. Just remember any progress is good progress :)

It's cool because I can finally see a difference. Dh noticed too :).

I'm going to try and set 10 lb goals and maybe 1 inch goals. Mini goals are nice because they make me feel like it's not such a big task.

I think you will be able to lose a significant amount in that time! Just keep at it, and know that no matter how long it takes, you are working towards a healthy life and that is amazing! And we are here for support! Have you involved any sort of clean eating into your lifestyle? That has helped me tremendously.

Yes I eat fairly clean. I still use some artificial sweeteners now and then but I'm cutting them out soon. I don't eat any premade food anymore.

It's helped a lot because real food is more filling in smaller portions.

That's great! Yes premade is almost always bad.... definitely stay to the outside perimeter of grocery store! I have also found that eating every few hours helps keep my energy up and less likely to endulge because I am starving. You got this! :)

Still the same weight at 208 but I'm down half an inch on hips and waist!

I was keeping my carbs below 30 grams a day but for 3 days I've had them at about 50-70. I was feeling bad about that but it doesn't seem to affect things too much. I will still be careful though.

My kids have noticed the difference now. My 6 yr old told me I'm not as 'poofy'.

Ok I guess I can't have 50 grams of carbs a day. I gained 2 lbs. calories and activity are the same. So carbs back down to around 20-30.

I'm not too bothered, but it's an annoying setback.
