I have heard a lot of talk lately about activity trackers/HR monitors that you wear either all day or while you work out.

I cannot decide if it is worth the money to get one. Do YOU use one? I am looking for pros & cons.... Any help would be great!

I wear a HRM--a Polar FT4-- while working out.  I really like it.  Pros-- it's pretty accurate for calories burned IMO, people will talk about how HRMs can't be accurate in circuit training, HIIT, etc, but mine seems really accurate, I'm losing the weight that I calculate by Calories in and Calories out using the calories burned estimates from my HRM.

When using a HRM without a chest strap (for me), it would often search or be unable to read my hr.  So I like the ones with chest straps.

I've had a couple different step counters and I found them to be very very very inaccurate!  There were times I would nap on the couch and it would count steps!  There were days I walked for over a mile with it only registering a couple hundred steps.  Very irritating.

My only con for my polar, I wish it would keep track of how much time I was in OR ABOVE the target heart zone.  I am often above the zone for the majority of a workout.  So it will often say I was only in the zone for 12 minutes.  But I was above the zone for 12 minutes too! But it's really a little thing, so I give it thumbs up.

I have the fitbit flex. I really like it. Once a week I have to charge it, which is kind of annoying but otherwise I don't have any complaints. It definitely motivates me to move more.
