Ok, I'm not so big on diets, but I found a way to loose weight that works great for me. I needed to loose 106 pounds to be back at a healthy weight. I have lost 83 pounds so far.
I have a slimfast shake for breakfast, normal lunch and normal dinner. I got rid of all the chips and cookies and ice cream in my house so if I need a snack, I only eat fruit. I drink alot of water. I have gotten rid of all pops and sugar filled juices.
My exercise routine is just walking. I walk whenever I can. I walk my dog twice a day. If I need to go somewhere that is only a few blocks away, I walk instead of drive (this is easier for me cuz I live in a small town, it may not work for everyone). I make sure to walk at least 30 minutes to an hour everyday.
I know that loosing weight can be really hard and I know that this may not help everyone, but it helped me loose 83 pounds and if anyone else can bennifit from it, I always wanna help.

Wow that's good! How long did it take you to lose the 83 pounds? I need to lose about 50.

My daughter is ten months old today, So it's been about nine months since I started this diet. However, I did loose the first thirty through giving birth and recovery from my C-section. Only the last 53 were from my diet.

You go girl! That's terriffic. Define "normal lunch", because what was a normal lunch for me before, was not a healthy lunch. I am doing a similar thing. Slim-fast for breakfast, healthy lunch (sometimes Lean Cuisine or homemade soups or salad for lunch) and usually grilled or baked fish or chicken or lean meat, with salad and vegetables for dinner. Fruits or whole grains for snacks. Drinking water, walking for exercise, and taking my vitamin-mineral supplement and calcium. So far 15 lbs lost, average 2 lbs a week. I still have a long way to go..but this is working. Thanks for posting. Hearing that someone else is doing a similar thing and has lost 83 lbs is an inspiration!

Congratulations!!!!  That is so awesome.  I have a friend who just started Slim Fast last week.  I'll have to tell her your story.

I am sorry. I should be more descriptive. When I say "normal" I mean non diet. Like I said originally I suck at diets and have never been good at denying myself what I want. A normal lunch for me usually includes some kinda sandwich or some pasta. I almost always have a salad or fruit on the side. I still go out to eat on the weekends like I always have, wich usually includes cheeseburgers or pizza. For dinner I will make whatever my family is in the mood for. Chicken, Pork chops, Rice, Mac & Cheese, Tacos, Casseroles, Vegies of course. Same things I have always cooked. However I have noticed that since I started walking and taking slimfast , my appetite has decreased. So my plate is not as full as it used to be.
Otherwise the only thing I have really been able to do food-wise is replace breaksfast with slimfast shake. Other than that I just walk walk walk! And drink LOTS of water. It has given me so much energy. I love it. I definately feel way better about my self.
Now my best friend has replaced all of her meals with lean cuisine and a side salad or fruit. She loves it. She has lost over forty pounds since she started her diet in January. I have not tried it myself but I know my friend and if it works for her, it could work for anyone. I would definately recomend it.
