  • I tried almost every diet there is out there-- who hasn't, right?!  I could not count all my calories, or points, or eat out of a box for the rest of my life.  I tried every different over the counter drug/patch or supplement you could buy, but my thoughts on that were that I was obviously already very unhealthy and what were those "supplements" doing to me on top of the weight.  I gave up last November after trying to get my health insurance to pay for a lap band, to which they said "no".  I really thought there was nothing else to do, I had lost my will power somewhere along the way in my life, and after 5 years of struggling to figure out what was wrong with me, I was convinced that I could do nothing to change it.

In April that changed.  I heard a guy that I work with mumbling that he made more money on the side than he did where we worked and asking himself why he was there.  You might be wondering what this has to do with weight loss-- read on!  I grabbed him and asked him what he did on the side-- he took me to lunch to tell me about it.  He works with one of the fastest growing health and wellness companies in the world.  I signed up then, wanting to make money.  I did not believe that the products were going to work, as I had tried hundreds of different diets and weight loss products.  He did tell me it was not a diet, it was a nutrition program- an actual lifestyle change.  I didn't really listen to his spill on the products, again, I was more interested in having my own business and making money.

A week later my products arrived by UPS.  I opened it, very excited to see what my new business was all about, my 2 girls pulling it open with me because they were so excited for me, too.  I took it all out, read the instructions that came with it, still convinced that it would have no effect on me.  It came as a 9 day cycle of food.  Super food, great nutrition.  I did my first 9 days, and lost 12 pounds.  I thought it was a fluke, or my scale was broken, and even if it wasnt I would gain back the weight since I it was only 9 days, and I would be eating regular food for the rest of the month.  I did not gain it back, so I decided my scale was in fact broken.  Got my next 9 days the next month, lost 6 more pounds.  I have lost 30 pounds since April.  I have since researched every piece of data to find out why this works when nothing else I tried did.

I know now.  There is a reason we are fat and can not lose the weight-- and the best part is-- IT  IS NOT BECAUSE WE ARE LAZY AND WITHOUT WILL POWER.  Please, look at this link and watch the videos.  Knowing it was not just me has done wonders on my selfesteem and mindset.  I have to tell everyone I know about this, and even people I dont.  Take 15 minutes and go to this site, then reply to this if you are interested in changing your life without spending more than you already do on fast food and fad diets products that have a 97% failure rate.

  • I dont count calories, but am aware of the calories in most foods so as to not overeat.  I lost 48 pounds by cutting back on portion sizes and switching to healthier foods.  I dont like fad diets or pill either.  after you lose weight on those things then how do you know how to keep the weight off by eating healthy if you dont already eat healthy?

  • Most of the food we eat has no nutritional value, that is why we stay fat!  We eat a meal, but since it has no nutrients to feed out cells, our cells never stop sending the signals to our brain that they need food.  So, as soon as your stomach moves enough food out to fit more in, you think you are hungry again.  And you are hungry, because most food is nutritionally defunct from over farming, pesticides, and lots of other reasons.  The program that I am on is not a fad diet, it is a nutrition program.  It is  something that I will do for the rest of my life, and it is safe for my whole family.  I can tell you from personal experience that counting calories is not the only thing that works, I was in WW for over a year and lost a little then gained it back.  I do think different things work for different people, whatever you do obviously has to be something that you are willing to stick with for life, or it won't work.  I do not have to count calories, or try to figure out the points in resturaunts and recipes, but not because I think I can eat whatever I want.  Again, we overeat because we do not have the minerals and nutrients our bodies need to function, so on a cellular level we are always hungry and always getting signals to eat more food.  If you solve that problem FIRST, then you are not hungry all the time, and you do not crave snacks and bad food all the time.  I started my new lifestyle in April, and the longer I have been on the program, the less bad food I eat.  Not because I am using  my recognizing hunger techniques and fighting myself to not open the fridge or order the desert,  because I am not hungry all the time anymore.  I am healthier than I have probably been since I was a kid.  It is all natural and stimulant free, and kids can use it, too.  Now that I have taken the time to learn all about Isagenix, my kids are eating it too, and I feel good knowing that they will not have to struggle with their weight and weight related self esteem problems when they are my age because I know the reason we are fat and the answer to the problem.
