Well, it would depend on what type of camera you are looking for.

There are 3 types that are huge hits and successes right now:

1) Digital

2)SLR's

3)DSLR's

Then you would look at the maker.

I personally like Sony, and Samsung. They have proven themselves to be durable, long lasting, and awesome quality for me.

The DSLR that I'm currently looking at is this one, however, it's quite pricey.

Yeah, do some google searching, because there is a slight difference, but also a very VAST difference.

For example a regular Digital camera, is your every day run of the mill digital camera. With those I always say Sony, or Samsung has the BEST products out there. Personally I wouldn't use anything other than Sony or Samsung.

With your SLR's the are More or less the really nice, high tech, etc camera, however, they are FILM based. Which means, you will be buying film and developing it. Nothing wrong with that, in fact prints of this magnitude still have better quality shots when it comes to pixles, just you can't enhance them. They are film shots.

DSLR's are your high tech really nice etc camera, but they are digital, which means you can use a memory card and enhance your little heart away.

These of course are just your basic differences. There are SO much more, and even each camera itself with in the catergories are different.

I suggest doing some major research on google to find the camera you truly want and will fit your lifestyle and photgraphing needs.

Hope this helped! =)~

well I am not keen on my cameras fully but I know I love enhancing photos moreso than just taking shots. So I guess a DSLR would be my next investment after my fun-playing-around digital :) . I just don't want to spend alot of money and I am not really into picture taking but I am I guess. Well I got plenty of time to decide while I play around with my digital. But once I see the quality of other and better cameras it's like I WANT, lol !

o.k so my SO in cleaning found this old camera ( nice looking ) and gave it to me thinking I could use it somehow though it wasn't digital but film ( bless his lil' heart :) . Anyways I could never get this joker working but just held on to it. So recently I decided to pull it out and do more research into it. It was a Canon so I pulled up the site on the internet to see if I could search it. Atleast find out how old it was and what year was it made. So I could not find this camera no where in the list of current or old Canon cameras on their site. I contact them with the question to get a reply that the Canon CNX30 was not listed as theirs. Obviously another company made it and put the Canon name on it. I googled it one time and found a few in existence but that's messed up. Unlegit companies trying to make a profit.
