I'm a little bumed because I keep looking at the job openings for the local schools.. I am sad because 2 jobs that I qualify for are open right now and I'm NERVOUS because they are immediate openings. I am still home with my daughter so I can't work until September.. I'm nervous that they won't have an opening when I'm ready :( :(.. UGH!!
Emily will go to full day Kindergarten in September and that's when I want to find a part time job but I can only work Sept to June.. I'd LOVE something at the school so that I can have the SAME schedule at my kids..
I think I would prefer to work in a classroom as a part time aid but I would be fine working in the cafeteria as well.. My husband doesn't care if I work but it would be nice if I could bring in some cash since I'll be home with no kids..
I would see if they have a pre-k program for her and afterschool care until you get off work. She could go to pre-k until whatever time, then daycare until you're ready to go home. Maybe?

Ah, okay gotcha! Well hopefully something will be open in September. Everything usually works out in the end. :)
It doesn't hurt to still apply. Even if they hire someone before Sept. that person might not work out and they will have your application on hand.
I hope that a job opens up for you in September with the school!
it says you have to start immediately and I can't so I don't really want to waste their time and piss them off.. I think that I'm just going to sit and wait to see if something opens..

I can't apply until this summer because they want you to be available now but YES that's an option!!!

It's been awhile but isn't there a place on the application that asks "when can you start?" I use to do all the hiring and firing at my last job and it never pissed me off to get an application that stated they couldn't start until a later date. I just filed theirs towards the back for "maybes". It doesn't hurt to ask.
