Have you ever had a house warming party? Been to one? What kinds of things did you do at the party?

I can't ever remember going to one. I'd love to do something once I get my own place...if that ever happens.
I've never had one or been to one. We plan on having one once we move to our new house! We'll have lots of good food and I'm sure beer for the drinkers.
Not but I'm going to be attending one in a few months.

I threw a housewarming party for a friend once; it was nice. Alot of people came and brought their housewarming gifts like someone brought a beautiful plant, I brought some wine glasses set of 4, someone else brought some pottery, dishes, etc. we ate we drank we talked and then we all left them to settle at home and figure out where to put all the new things that they got.
I love Housewarming parties because they are just pleasant gathering of people getting together to give to the couple just moving into their new place and helping them to get settled in and comfortable with their new surroundings.....its cool.
Does your husband wear them too?
