Nervous about dinner... - UPDATE!!!!

Posted by   + Show Post

So I took my crock pot recipe for Lasagna and instead of using ground beef I made meatballs with it.. I do wish I had more meatballs but I PRAY it comes out good.

Has anyone ever done meatball lasagna??  HHMM

UPDATE!!  It was DELICIOUS!!!!  YUMMY!!  My hubby was SHOCKED I made the meatballs from scratch HAHAH..

For those who have NEVER made CP Lasagna here is the DELISH recipe I have been using for 10 years. My husband is Italian and this is the recipe that he says is "better than my moms." YEAH BABY it's better than his moms GO ME GO ME!!

Lasagna1 lb ground beef1 med onion, chopped2 cloves garlic, minced29 oz canned tomato sauce or your preference1 cup water6 ozcan tomato paste1 tsp. salt1tsp. dried oregano8 oz pack. lasagna noodles, uncooked4 cups (16 oz) shredded mozzarella cheese1 1/2 cups (12 oz) small- curd cottage cheese (or ricotta)1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Cook ground beef, onion and garlic together in saucepan until browned.
Drain.  Stir in tomato sauce, water, tomato paste, salt, and oregano.
Mix well.  Spread one fourth of meat sauce in ungreased slow cooker.
Arrange one third of noodles over sauce.  Combine the cheeses.  Spoon
one third of mixture over noodles.  Repeat layers twice.  Top with
remaining meat sauce.  Cover.  Cook on low 4-5 hours.

I'm going to give that I try sometime soon. My son is part Italian and loves lasagna

I've always been worried CP lasagna wouldn't taste good, but after your post and recipe I'm going to have to try it! And I'm sure my husband would love meatballs in it as well! Thanks!

I've made meatballs and I've made lasagna, but I never made meatball lasagna. It sounds good!
