I hate markers SO MUCH!!! So my kids usually get up and play quietly until my hubby and I wake up at 7am.. Well this morning my kids come into my room at 6:45 UGH but, then my daughter says "Mommy Nick needs a new paper (meaning poster board), I got blue marker on his paper." UGH
So, I get out of bed and I go see marker ALL over the table, floor, a chair, my daughter, and YES on the top right of his poster board. I just about LOST IT.. I made her start to clean it up.. she also need to appologize to her brother.. I know it was an accident and she's only 5 but my issue is that I ALREADY told her NOT to do anything near his poster.. Plus it was 6:45 and I was more than annoyed..
So, my son and I brainstormed how to cover the marker OR if I would need to buy him another piece of poster board.. We did find a way to cover it and we will do that this weekend as his poster isn't due until Monday anyway.. it was just a VERY stressful way to start my day..
Now my daughter is in the tub washing off the marker that she got on herself. I just don't understand how it got ALL OVER the place..
My son needs them for his school projects which aren't done on the special paper so that won't work but I appreciate the suggestion..

Oh man, what a great way to start a Friday morning! Luckily you found a way to cover it up. May I suggest to you Color Wonder by Crayola? They created those markers for this purpose. They will only work on their special paper. They have great coloring books & everything.
Hope your day gets better!
At least you figured something out for it!
Oh no she cleaned it.. It did come up I just don't know how it exlopded like that ya know.. Honestly she's going to start kindergarten in September and will have her own projects to do so they wouldn't work for us for long.. I have used them before and I think they are great for younger kids.. It actually cleaned up pretty easily it was just ALL OVER.. SO STRANGE.,

Oh, yeah, I can see his need for them. But if she wants to color, those would be good for her! Hopefully you can get it all cleaned up. If you still have marker somewhere, magic erasers are wonderful! It doesn't seem to take much elbow grease with them.
We got our daughter 2 recliners for christmas a few years back, yep, you guessed it..permanent magic marker all over the cloth material. I had a product called OIL EATER, you can buy it online. best stuff i have ever owned. Took that marker right off the chair. It also took all of melted in the dryer crayons out of a load of clothes...I would not be without it.
