How do you keep your kids cool in the summer?

We have a kiddie pool which is getting to small..  We also have a sprinkler the kids run through.. When the kids are OUT of school we go to the town beach and the town pools.

I LOVE the ocean but we are at least an hour away which makes me a little sad.. OH WELL!!

We've always had her kiddie pool set up during the summer and keep a lot of popcycles in stock.  During the hottest part of the day we let her lounge and watch a movie under the ceiling fan.  This year, she didn't want her pool set up for some reason...?

I wouldn't ask her LOL!!!  I would set it up and put my own feet in it :)

We live on the top floor of an apartment so no kiddie pool or sprinklers :( but we have been taking the kids to the river every few days of so to cool off that way...hubbies parents have a pool but are weird about us using it...I.want to start taking them to the town pool but I'm not sure I could handle all 3 kids by myself, I don't have many mommy friends around me.

We did take them to the condo pool when we lived there, but we don't have that luxury any more. I guess we will see how it goes this summer.

Our town pool is NO deeper than 3 feet deep..  My son is fine but I still watch him.. My daughter wears a floatie so that's great for her safety and my peace of mind :) hehehe..

My kids like to run off the second I turn my head. It sucks, they know they aren't supposed to do that but they still do it anyways. I wish we lived back in California. We lived a mile from the beach and I had friends out there. We would take our kids to the parks and beach all the time..but now I am like 4hours from the closest beach.
