long lost friend UPDATE IN BLUE

When we lived out in California I had one really good friend.  She had two little boys, one that was about 4-5 at the time and then a little boy that was just a few days older than my now 4 year old. They were 2 when we were out there.  When we moved back to Virginia I kept in touch for a bit but then we just sort of stopped talk, calling, texting. I've been thinking about her a lot lately and was just wondering what I she's been up to.  The are in the Marine Corps like we were and I don't know if they have moved or anything.  I still have a number that I think is still her's but I'm not sure.

Should I send a text to it and see if it's her? I'd love to catch up with her and see what's going on with her.  What would you do?

UPDATE

So I texted her! and we are talking and catching up.  She actually just moved from Cali to VIRGINIA!!!! yay!!! She is at the Marine Corps base we go to every now and then to grocery shop!  It's only like an hour and a half from me. I want to meet up with her one of these days.   I would love to catch up with her some more in person! EEEKKKKK soooo glad I went ahead and just texted her!

I think it would be much nicer to actually call the number instead of texting; texting is so impersonal.  I just don't get why this younger generation is so hung up on texting and won't 'talk' to people ...

for me its because I sound like Im a 12 year old on the phone. I hate the way my voice transfers over the phone.

I don't think it matters how you reach out to her. I'm sure she'll be thrilled that you found her. I've found many old friends through facebook and it's been a lot of fun.

1 mom liked this
She doesn't have a Facebook but I did find her mother in laws Facebook. I have s number for my friend I'm just not sure if its still the same number. I think I will give it a text here in a bit and if its not her number anymore I may reach out to her mother in law.
