CafeMom gave moms Shout Color Catcher and asked them to share their experience doing their family's laundry. Shout Color Catcher absorbs the colors in the wash machine, allowing you to mix dark and white clothes together.
Check out what our moms have to say about their experience. Then, tell us your trick for keeping clothes looking as new as when you bought them.

I have been using the Shout Color Catcher for the last few days and I am honestly amazed at how much my clothes can bleed color. Using the color catcher has been great for washing mixed loads when I have only a few items of each color. I can pop one in and not worry about my laundry coming out looking dingy.
I got my package sometime last week but waiting until we went shopping for new clothes. I tossed in white clothes, a pink shirt, black shirt and a blue bra. Nothing bled, and the catchers worked. I LOVE the color catcher sheets.

I let my neighbor have some sheets and this is what she said: "I thought they worked well. I did a load with lights and darks and I didn't have any runs and the catcher had a few colors in it that it must have caught. I will buy it after I run out of them especially since I have to do such small loads. "
I had the perfect opportunity to check these Shout Color Catchers out. My mom bought be 5 new towels that are very bright colors (purple, turquoise, teal, green and navy) and I needed to give them a first wash before we used them. Typically bright colors bleed a lot more so to test these things out I threw a couple of white towels in th wash too and see if they worked. I was very pleasantly surprised that nothing bled at all!! Not one little bit. I am super excited because now when I wash DH's work clothes (black pants, grey shirt and a white undershirt) I don't have to seperate them into different loads, I can just wash them all together and save a load of laundry. The color catchers worked really well and smell good too!! I do a lot of laundry and these will definitely save me some time. Thanks Cafe Mom for the opportunity to try these out!!
I was excited to try out Shout Color Catcher, I've been looking for an excuse to buy another set of good sheets for the bed so this has been my scape goat. Every time I get new sheets they bleed on anything that happens to get mixed into the washer with them. It can be a disaster.
For the first go around I tossed the sheets in with a Shout Color Catcher and was amazed at how much color was caught. For the second round I tossed in a pair of socks. I figure if it doesn't work out than at least the socks will be matching. Needless to say the Shout Color Catcher caught all the color, the socks came out fine. Wow.
I'm hooked. I'm pretty sure any time there might be a question of a misplaced item in with the brights I will be tossing in a Shout Color Catcher just in case.
I'll be looking forward to buying colors without worrying about ruining other clothes. That's a whole lot of freedom in mom language.
Laundry can be a real bore, for myself and the children but at least now we don't have to worry about color transfer any longer.
Thanks CafeMom for letting me try out this great product. :-)
Thanks so much to Cafemom and Shout for giving me a chance to try this product out!
Overall I was impressed with the product. I had just bought some new school clothes, so I thought those would be a good opportunity to try the color catch cloths on, as many were dark or bright colors. I tried putting an older white shirt in with these clothes for their first wash and nothing came off on the clothes, just the Shout cloth. I would say these are perfect for new clothes especially.
Here are some of the clothes I tried the product on. All brand new.

None of the colors came off on anything else. Here's how one of the cloths looked.

Here is a brand new beach towel that was black and dark colors I washed with a brown and white striped older shirt. The white stripes were a little fuzzy from the towel, but I don't think the color actually transferred.

I think this product would be best for new dark item like this so you can wash with some older clothes. I would still be careful as I would not want laundry ruined.
I got mine very quickly as well! I never expected to get them that fast! I was excited to try them, but was honestly a little disappointed with the results. When I took it out, it was very slightly tinted blue (from washing new jeans), but nothing like what I expected. I'm glad I got the oppurtunity for this influencer, but I don't think I'll be spending money on these any time soon....

Quoting bmw29:We tie dyed T-shirts this weekend. I didn't put anything else in with this wash but those shirts but I wanted the white parts of them to stay white. It worked. I put 3 sheets in there even though one probably would have been sufficient and you can see that they definitely caught some color. I'll probably keep some Shout Color Catchers on hand from now on because we do things like this every so often and they were nice to have. I would hate to see what would have happened to those poor shirts had I not had the color catchers.
Being that I'm a Mom with such extremely limited time, I was really excited to try a product that would make my workload a little less tedious. I dove right in and threw all my clothes in the wash together. My dark wash jeans had the most impact on the sheet, when I pulled it out, it was blue!
What I loved most is the efficiency. I like to tackle a lot of jobs at once, and this little sheet totally gets me and works wonders to help me save time and energy.
I will be using the Shout Color Catcher from now on to keep our clothes looking new.
