I hit pubery at 10, everyone else in my class followed shortly after. I don't think it's considered abnormal unless it's before age 8 if I remember right.
Kids can hit puberty as early as 7, before that it is early. 10 is actually a quiet normal age. You should check out the Tween Titan group- lots of great moms over there and we are in the same boat (I have two tweens and will have another one next year when she turns 9).
My daughter is to young (she's almost 6) but I'm starting to see my son might be going through SOME changes.. He's 8..
I don't find this early had mine by 11 and I am 40.
I thought 10 yrs was fairly normal.
I started my cycle at 10 and so did my daughter.I don't think 10 is too young for puberty to start.
10 is pretty normal. I'd be more concerned if it was before age 8....
It's not unheard of. I started wearing a bra in 4th grade. And the summer between 4th and 5th grade I started my period. I was only 10. Come to think of it, I started shaving in the 4th grade as well. I was an "early bloomer" in my school though. I went to a very small private school and I was the only one that had a period or wore a bra for at least 2 years.
At 10 it is quite normal to be hitting puberty. I was 10 when I started wearing a bra and 3 years later I started my period. My daughter is 10 and is wearing a bra now.
