DS and I are leaving in a few minutes for a competitive swim team tryouts. He has been on a recreation team for the past two years but they have to be 7 yrs to compete in our local league. He won't be 7 until April so he won't be able to race until then, but the coach said he could try out and if he makes it he can practise with the competitive team. It won't be much different for him except that practise will be more advanced and his coach would be a former Olympian. He'll also be able to play water polo 2x per week if he makes the team. Swimming is his passion! I hope he makes it because his excitement is driving my bonkers this afternoon.
