Have you ever eaten or smelled something and it instantly took you back to a certain time or place? Reminded you of someone?

Tonight I made meat loaf for dinner. The recipe is the one my dad used when he was alive. He died when I was very young and I have very few memories of him but when I bit into the meat loaf tonight I traveled back in time almost. I had memories of eating this dinner with my dad. It was so weird but so awesome at the same time.

Yes :) Not food, but certain smells will remind me of someone I used to know, or a place I used to love..

It happens to me a lot.  Scientists have done studies about this.

I don't with food but if I smell an old style butane lighter (the flick kind) it reminds me of my grandpa. Weird huh.

Sometimes.  Not just with food either.  Leather (like leather jacket smell) is a very bad one for me.  But strangely enough a leather (oiled) baseball glove is a GREAT one.  :)

Yep, every time I eat chocolate pie .. I think of my aunt & how no one can make a chocolate pie that comes close to hers!
