I don't know if you've heard, but this morning the last space shuttle made it's last flight across California. I took these pictures as it passed before me. It was an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
My dad worked on the shuttles design both while he was in the Navy and afterwards in the private sector. He was in-person for the Endeavor's first flight in the 70s, was in-person for the Columbia's first manned flight, was invited to a special viewing at Moffet field today.
