I have done layaway before. It is good but limited to a few stores.

Yep... and mine are at the inbetween stage. They want some toys but they want lots of other things as well, lol. This age is hard- they want the really expensive stuff at 12 and I don't think they need really expensive stuff at 12.

That's how I am.  I try to finish before Thanksgiving.

Me too!  The toy sales are always the best the week or two before Thanksgiving - and if they aren't you can always get a price adjustment.  Plus you have the best selection before Thanksgiving. I hate the post -Thanksgiving lack of parking and all the crowds.

I like the slowly but surely route- it doesn't break the bank and you get to take your time.

I figured this year I better get it done, lol. In years past it has been a little harder finacially... but this year it is a little easier.
