How would you spend $1,000?

If you were given $1,000 to spend on your home, how would you spend the money? What would you buy?

I would want to save it but if I had to spend it I would go to the spa with some of it and then buy something fun for each of my kids and my husband :)

I'd put down some new flooring in my living room. The carpet we have now is atrocious...the previous owner destroyed it, it's embarassing to me when people see it.

Hmmm...I wouldn't, that's my landlords job...lol...If I want the house painted he does that, something breaks he fixes it of course, he even cleans up around the outside for us...Soooooo I wouldn't need a 1,000 to spend on it...

Get the sofa off lay-a-way.

The only thing I could think of is put money in savings because we are planning on building next year :)

Pay rent a month ahead! That would be awesome.

I would use it to do some landscaping in my backyard. We did the front last year, and it would take more than a thousand to do what I want in the back, but it would be a start.

I would buy a new sofa and build some shelves for all my books that are piling up.
