Vanishing Onions and Odd Eating Habits.

So I started noticing I was going through a lot of onions. It was odd. I mean yes, we go through a lot of onions, but not this many.

So it started a few months ago, we went from going through a 5lb bag of onions every two weeks to 5lb bag weekly. I just figured we were eating more since I had started cooking more curries and Asian foods. Well here I was this evening slicing onions in preparation for dinner, the phone rang, once I came back my five onion slices were down to three. I look around trying to find where they dropped. I couldn't find them so I convinced myself that I was miscounting them, well I turn around after slicing them all to take the celery out. I look back up and who's hand do I see reaching for on onion slice with one in his other hand? My little one! (age 7)

Apparently he's been eating onions like apples when no ones around looking.

o.O

Any of you moms have little ones with odd eating habits?

When my oldest son was still in diapers he loved eating whole onions like they were apples. It was always so funny to see this little baby toddling around the house just as happy as can be eating these onions like it wasn't anything. He still loves them to this day along with spicy and hot things. Where he gets it from I have no idea. His twin sister doesn't like hot things and I wont go past mild except for the occasional hot sausage. Lol I wouldn't worry to much though it. I would only be concerned if he started craving non food items like dirt, clay or laundry soap. That can be a sign of low iron. Otherwise I'm sure he just really loves onions like my son and is perfectly healthy. My son is 9 btw. :)
