How do you deal with a visitor who doesn't seem to know what their position is?

I am VERY honest, I will be as gentle and sweet about it as possible but I will still be honest and let them know how I feel about it and what the boundaries are and how it needs to change or else what will happen if it doesnt.

What do you mean they don't know what their position is?  You mean when to tell them to leave?  You tell them when they have overstayed their welcome.  Only you would know when that is.

Not sure what you mean by "their position". If they're a guest, isn't that pretty self-explanatory? We had guests for 9 days. Then a week later we had one for 4 days. My rules are everything here is for you to use....don't wait for me to get it for you, don't ask if its okay to eat/drink something, just dive in. If they need clean clothes....I show them where the washer/dryer is. haha. What I do is try to make it as relaxed and comfy as I can for them.

Do you mean that doesn't seem to know where their boundaries lie?

Just say something. It is YOUR home.

I make them leave if they won't listen to me and I don't let them come back.
