I used to drive them to school and make them walk home,with a friend,or a bunch of friends,and they admitted recently that they thought it was beneficial! Not just for the exercise,but for the socializing,walkin' and talkin'. Lol,they probably did plenty of complaining about their parents too :)

When she was in school she took the bus until high school, I had to drive her because we lived outside the district.

i drive my 6 yr old-- no buses

 i homeschool my 12 yr old , and drive him to a tudor 3  times a week

I take both my boys too school one is out of district and the other I don't want riding the bus those drivers are maniacs

Walk, it's maybe 10 minutes away. Sadly other people do drive that live even closer than us!
