Hi, I'm a London Mum and writer and looking to share experiences or give advice on School Refusal - a debilitating anxiety disorder (like panic attacks) that affect far more children than you might think - particularly prolific in Japan, which has the highest incidence in the world.
The 'baby steps' programme that eventually helped my son to overcome the condition required me to be physically in the background at his school for nigh on three years. I blog about it here.
The upside is it gave me lots of time to observe the self-obsessed mummies at the school, which led to me writing my first book (humorous chicklit, unrelated to this subject) ... in the car park!
If you'd like to chat, get in touch. You don't have to be alone.
