My chickens took off yesterday. I went outside and they were gone. I heard a raccoon chattering. I was thinking he was laughing at me like "haha, I've already beheaded the beauties". haha. I called and called, and finally they wandered up through the woods. Jerks.
You would think because I have 6 acres and an open feild/woody area next to us. A total of 12+ acres that they could wonder and no one would care, they would.
Nope, they want to go sit across the street on their back deck, visit the chickens 2 doors down, or wonder everywhere they're not supposed to go.
They're in chicky prison now. Caged in with they're wings clipped.
Why would you call the police for a chicken in your yard?
