Question: Would you let your underage daughter wear "booty" shorts out in public?

I was at the mall with my daugther, and my sister the other day.....
We noticed a lot of young teenage girls (like 14 and 15) wearing those really short, short booty shorts, that barely cover your bum.
I have a daughter that is 8 years old, and she even commented on the girls walking in front of us saying "mom, look how short those girl's shorts are"....
All I know, is when my daughter is that age, she would not be allowed to leave the house is such short, shorts......(even as an adult, I wouldn't like her to wear them, but what can I do about that) I guess it's the "style" now....but I don't think it's very attractive, especially on young ladies.
It's one thing, wearing those around the house, or for pj's....but I think out in public is a little much....what do you all think?
The girls we saw at the mall, were wearing shorts, shorter than this. The legs, were about the length of womens brief underwear....I couldn't believe it really....

I am thinking "teen pregnancy" and a child that a 16 year old boy will have to pay child support for until the child is 18.

Ugh! I don't even wanna think about this yet with Jenna. Young girls wanna look and be sexy to the boys. Now I remember showing some skin back in the day or wearing tight clothes. But it's really really bad when your at the mall or a store and see young girls with there whole behind showing. I have to agree these shorts are best at home or P.Js. Clothes now days are getting really skimpy and short. Does not leave much to the imagination for all the teen boys who are checking them out....... I guess it's one thing to be a little flirty but to show it all no that's not cool at all....
Yes, like I said these are decent! lol...however these aren't so decent. Is this what you're referring to? :-) Again...under-age teen wearing these at the mall...yeah it's a bit much.
