We do for our Son's 2nd birthday ( This October) ...

Here is my dilemma...

I had originally planned to throw a Dinosaur party for my son...

Then I thought that maybe a trip to Disneyland would be super fun...

But that wouldn't be really fair...  because this Year , I threw a  birthday party for my daughter and over-spent ... then  we threw her a Slumber party( for no reason)  , and I am currently planning a  zombie cocktail party for my husband's 25th birthday( this August)... if we go to Disneland for my son's birthday he'll be the only 1 that did not have a party this year...

What are your thoughts?! I have not purchased anything.

This is just my opinion..... your son is 2 yrs old, unless you are able to take him there often, it's not like he's going to remember the trip. I'm sure he would have fun, but is he really going to tell the difference between that, and say, going to a really fun playground?

We went to Disneyland(I was in HS), but my younger brother and sister were still little(like 6 and 8) they don't remember a single thing about the trip really....maybe random things, when they look at pictures.

This is just my opinion. Our daughter is 8, and I'm not planning to take her on such a big, exciting trip, until she is a little older......

He's only 2,have a little family party, take some pics, save your money for his college fund. He's not going to remember anything anyway.

Disneyland is a blast but better for when kids are a little older. Throw the actual dinosaur party. Have a dinosaur egg hunt or something else themed based and wait on the trip for when he can walk the park on his own without a stroller.

I have to agree, at 2 he really isn't going to remember going to Disneyland nor is there all that much - considering the size of the park - for his age.  Also, at that age, I'd keep a birthday party rather small.  At that age, he again, isn't going to really remember anything about it.  I wouldn't worry about the money you spend ... even if he were older.  Parties shouldn't be about the money spent anyway; they should be about what interest the birthday kid.  Who cares how much money you spend or don't spend!

He will be two years old...he doesn't understand "fair" taking him to Disney might be more work than it is worth, wait a couple of years on that.  Just a get togehter with family would suffice.

Disneyland can be really pricey and he is still a little young wait couple of years to go but for not have a dinosaur party instead with friends and family.
