I here a lot of people on here saying they don't like labels. They don't like putting them on themselves and they don't like others put them on them. I got to thinking about it and aren't some labels okay. I mean I don't see how being labeled as a mom or a wife is so bad. You ARE a mom and a wife (for those that are married). Now I agree it's wrong if someone puts 'just' in front of it like you are "just" a mom or "just" a wife. Because you ARE much more than that of course.
Are all labels bad?

Labels are also how children with special needs qualify and receive very important services that make a huge difference in their school experience.
The label serves a purpose - it is not just to label kids for the sake of labeling them.
Quoting CoeyG:
Quoting HTMommy:I thought you were going to talk about food labels....idk....but then again...I really don't care. In my eyes labels are for highschool and I may be a younger mom and look like a 12 yr old but I'm a grown a** woman and NOT in highschool that needs to be concerned with labels kwim?
Schools are forever trying to label kids. This one is Autistic, that one has ADHD, anouther is ODD, that one has Athma, he is deaf she has a speach problem, he is a slow reader, she picks it up quickly, numbers confuse her, he should be in calculus. Whatever happend to children being children rather than labels
