I have been hearing so much about this book, especially all over Facebook. But I never really paid much attention to any of the talk, at least not the details of what the book is about. So when my sister in-law started talking to me about it I was like "what in the hell are you talking about?". But after about an hour of her badgering me to read it I gave in.

And now I must say Fifty Shades of Grey is literary crack!!! big smile miniI am having such a hard time putting it down. I've read about 2/3's of the book in about 3 days, including today. It's so addicting!!! I hope to have it finished by tomorrow.

I didn't know that there were two other books until today though, While I was reading about the 2nd and 3rd books I found out that they are turning the book/s into a movie and it seems that all the talk is about who is going to play the part of Christian Grey ... We'll come back to that in a moment but the first thing that popped into my head when I read that there is a movie in the works was "How in the hell are they going to make this VERY EROTIC book into a movie?". Truly, and if you have read the book/s (I can really only make this comment about the first book because it's all I've read) you may know what I mean. It is very graphic. And in my opinion, it kind of lacks in the story line/plot. So because it (to me) lacks in story line it feels more like I'm just reading straight porn, really good, addicting porn, but porn just the same. Even if it was given an R rating or even an NC-17 rating ... I just don't know that it would be a movie I could go watch in a movie theater with out feeling creepy and weird LOL.

So going back, who might be chosen to play the part of the dark, complex, challenging, young, sexy kinda buff and just a little dangerous Christian Grey?

I came across a list of actors who, I think, are being considered for the part. I have posted some of them below.

So for those who have read the book/s and have gotten to know the character, If you had to pick from the list of actors below, who would you pick? Or is there someone that is not on the list that you think would make a good Christian Grey?

Personally I think that a lot of these guys are a little too old to pull it off. I'm kind of partial to Chris Hemsworth. I can very easily picture him in my head as Christian Grey as I'm reading this book. I also wouldn't mind terribly if Just Timberlake got the part, not because I think he would be a good fit but because I've had a crush on him sense I was a girl. Loved N*Sync :-) And I would love to see him is such a sexy role!

So share your thoughts on all this, what do you think about it all?

I haven't read the book and wasn't too sure if I was going to either.  I have never wanted to do "what everyone is..." but when my mother-in-law was over the other night and shook her finger at us (my other sis-in-law) telling us that we should never read it because it's a horrible book with horrible things...blah, blah, blah... Yah, I kind of changed my mind.  Reminded me of when I was little and my Mom told me not to say bad words.  :)devil miniangel mini

I don't know who he is but the pic of Chris pine looks like my version of Christian. I haven gotten far into the book yet ( just got to where Ana woke up after passing out from being drunk)

I am in love with this series! I'm in book 3 and can't find the time to get back to it - but I'm dying to!

Though I have to say, none of the guys listed here are hot enough to be Christian Grey!

I'm not interested in those books. I have no need for trashy poorly-written books on other people's sex lives. I have a great one here, thankyouverymuch, and I don't want my husband watching or reading porn so I show him the same respect.

But I guess other women have different opinions....

Quoting mhmomma:I think I'm the only woman that thinks this is the dumbest book ever. Not going to watch the movie either. Very disappointed in the book after hearin all the hype. By the way thanks or the eye candy

I have heard quite a few who don't like the books. I have zero interest in reading it. But agree about the eye candy!
