I need some advice ladies. Marc grew up having guns in his home. His dad has a gun safe, and was in the military. I'm not sure if they ever kept one upstairs in their home or not - I do plan to talk to his mom today to ask. I grew up with no guns, I'm pretty scared of them really. Too many accidents happen, even if kids/adults are shown and know the right/wrong ways etc. Well Marc wants to get a gun. He says he'd keep it in his closet, above the door up on hooks so the boys wouldn't even know its there. BUT here's my things - the play hide and seek and hide in our closets alot (can't really tell them not to bc theres something in there we dont' want them to see right, thats like saying theirs candy in the cabinet so don't go in it!), two, our bed is to the left of the door - his closet to the right.... his big thing is what if someone breaks into our house at night, he wants to have something to protect us. Um, how the hell are you gonna get to the gun in time? And then theres the bullets! I know you don't keep a loaded gun in the closet, so you gotta find someplace else to put the bullets!
I suggested we revisit the idea of a dog! He made a face and got annoyed.
I don't know what to do or how to solve this. I'm terrified of guns and do not want one in the house, but he does. Its like how do you even resolve a situation like this when we both feel so strongly? Help please!
