Do any of you have neighbor kids that you're kids play with? And these neighbor kids just invite themselves every where you go? I do. There is only one kid on our street my sons age, and they play all the time. A few times this summer DS has asked if this kid could come with us to the pool or to Hockey, I didn't believe my son did not ask him to come (without asking me), today I heard it with.net own ears. My son said he had to eat lunch then we were going to the pool, the kid said "can I come too?" Ugh........I hate saying no all the time and it gives my son someone to play with in the pool, however it cost five dollars for a guest, and this skinny little kid ears like a horse. I am unemployed and an on a budget. it frustrated me when put in this position. Mgmt dad tells me I need tobe the mean mom and just say no. on one hand it gives ds someone to play with, on the other it annoys me. Ds kept telling him all about his Dek Hockey team and that he should join. Well the kids mom wants to talk to me about it. I would bet money she wants me to take him for the season. I hate to be rude, and he lives right next door so it isn't a huge inconvience, it just bugs me. How are kids so rude now? I would never have asked a friend to take me without them asking me. I know if I keep saying yes it will slowly get out off hand. I realize when we go out he had no one to play with, but he goes places with no concern my ds is left bored. . Am I the only one in this position our are there other neighbors who are a pain too?
