 have National Night Out the 1st Tuesday in August? Ya know where you head over to your local park and you get free Ice Cream from 6:00 to 9:00. Plus you get to see some local entertainment. Meet the Fireman and Police. Hand out with you neighbors, Get bit by mosquitoes....lol... What about you?

Um.  No.  But we have less than 300 people here.  lol.  They do fireworks on the 4th and the American Legion serves food (not free) every month or so.. so I guess that's pretty good all things considered.  ;)

Nope, but I live in a pretty decent sized city. We did have a celebration with a free concert in a neighboring city for the Coast Guard birthday this past weekend, and there are frequent festivals and military events in my area.

(dryer sheets down in shoes and shorts/pants pocket) - the off dry & smooth works well, but you need to spray you, your clothes and shoes

I never heard of it before, but I looked it up since you asked bc our city seems to do everything (love that about here) and sure enough they ARE having one - they are having a live family theatre performance and meet some of the police force and refreshments.  I don't think we are going to that though we do go to a lot of stuff our city does bc Todd has to get up early the next day.
